I wanted to let you know that I really appreciate this  opportunity that FIELD has given me. I am a current student attending John Muir Charter School to obtain my High School Diploma. I really think attending classes here has helped me out because they have a very flexible schedule that if for some reason we can’t make it mornings, we can always attend afternoons. If it wasn’t for me attending school here, I would have never been where I am now, working with FIELD or I would have never had the opportunity to complete the training and become a Certified Applicant Assistant.

I also have a second job on weekends, at a store in Bakersfield, called Fashion Bug. I was offered a position as assistant manager at $11.75 an hour with 30 hours a week, but I turned it down for the FIELD offer at 20 hours a week at minimum wage, because I wanted to try and learn something new that might hopefully even help me out in the future. I really enjoy working for FIELD because I am learning a lot of new things that I never thought I would be doing. Therefore, I am very thankful with you all for giving me this opportunity and letting me be part of your staff, because if it wasn’t for the help the program offers students ages 18-25 I would never have been where I’m at right now.
