The Escuela Popular Instituto Campesino de Cesar Chavez (EPIC)
Is currently recruiting for:
Teachers (Full-time): ongoing recruitment for current year and 2016-2017
Teachers (part-time) recruitment is year-round
EPIC is an adult charter high school with the mission of furthering the education and economic opportunity of rural minority populations. Teachers enjoy great personal reward as they create opportunity for young adult farmworkers, aspiring business owners, and often new immigrants. Most positions involve bilingual instruction and require single or multi-subject credential.
EPIC welcomes teachers new to the field, retired teachers who want part-time work, and full-time teachers especially who want to make a difference in their community and the state of California. The growth of EPIC has far surpassed initial expectations, so we are in a continuous state of recruitment, hire, and training, based on our mission to advance rural populations.
Qualified candidates are invited to submit an application form, letter of interest, resume, three letters of recommendation with contact information or 3-5 references, and unofficial transcripts (submission of official transcripts will be required upon recommendation of hire). Review of applications is ongoing.
All application materials must be on file. Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver’s license and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Employment is not official until approved by the board.
